CONAIL STEVEN FURY
Chairperson
Steve Fury is an American trial lawyer of over 40 years experience who practices in the state of Washington in the USA.
Steve received his B. A. degree from Stanford university and his law degree from Harvard Law school.
Steve has trained hundreds of lawyers not only in the united states, but also from several Africa countries,
Asia and Europe. He has been honored as one of “the best lawyers in America” since 1995
JUDYTH NSABABERA
VICE CHAIR PERSON
Ambassador Judyth Nsababera is a Ugandan Ambassador serving as Consul General in Guangzhou China. She also serves as
the Senior Presidential Advisor on regional matters to the President of Uganda. Juju is a global-level project operations
leader with deep international diplomatic experience who enjoys highly collaborative organizational challenges. Amongst her
many achievements, She is a founder of About Face Films a company that highlights and advocates women in decision-making and
leadership roles in Peace and Security.
NICO SCHUTTE
BOARD MEMBER
Nico Schutte is Data Protection Officer of ‘De Nederlandsche Bank’ (DNB). DNB is the central bank, competent authority
and resolution authority for the financial sector of The Netherlands. Prior to working at DNB, Nico worked in various roles a/o
at Philips including as Director Business Excellence, Director Business Improvement and Sr. Privacy officer. Nico has degrees in marketing
management and organization psychology. In his free time Nico is a competitive rower, mountaineer and outdoor swimmer. Nico has served for 9 years
as in the supervisory board of an influential Dutch NGO and has a passion to bring about positive change in the society, he is honoured to be part of
VMEDI board of director team to aid the organization to achieve its objectives.
KISUULE AGNES
BOARD MEMBER
Agnes Kisuule is a general partner at First Circle Capital a venture capital fund investing in Africa Technology companies.
Prior serial entrepreneur and recipient of the golden Nica 2012. Because of her passion and experience / background in technology,
Agnes is humbled to be part of the board of directors of VMEDI organization based on fact that the organization has STEM/ STEC/STI
foundation and hoping her insights and input will aid the organization achieve its objectives through different projects and programs
in helping to create equal global opportunity to all young girls, youth and women and bring the next generation of young girls and
women into the spotlight.
PAADEH DEUTSCHMANN
BOARD MEMBER
Paadeh Duetschemann has a bachelor’s degree in development studies and a Master’s Degree in population and health at
Makerere university. The founder and executive director of Our Hope Community-Based Organization.
As a social worker,
Paadeh is passionate about supporting the vulnerable in the Community thus his commitment and passion in being part of
Visionary Minds Empowerment and Development Initiative as a board of director with aim to support the organization meet
its objectives in creating a better and equal world for young girls, youth and women.

A certified personal stylist and image consultant who has the experience, expertise and passion to help men and
women discover their unique personal style that fits all aspects of their life. Founder of Make Modern Noise a platform
advocating to raise awareness and stop gender based and domestic violence.
With a fashion design BA Honors at Cambridge
school of art Anglia Ruskin University Ibiara embarked on a mission to help people develop a good personal image, attitude
and a wad rope that’s is accessible, appropriate and most of all authentic to them and their lifestyle regardless of age,
body type, profession or budget. Passionate about encouraging young women reach greater professional heights in whatever
field they may be interacted in but it starts with their professional image, attitude and great sense of self.
LALAM TEDDY
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
LALAM, the founder and Executive director is an international beauty pageant queen awards achiever who has represented Uganda
in Japan, China, Colombia, Nigeria, Philippines etc., as a good will ambassador advocating for social and humanitarian causes on
the international Platform. Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in construction project management and oil and gas safety (HSSE) at Makerere university.
Because of her passion in sciences, this paved her a way to create a social impact platform to help young girls, youth and women
optimize their talent, full potential and abilities using a field she’s very passionate in thus the founding of VMEDI Organization
an initiative bringing the next generation of young girls, youth and women in STEM / STEC/ STI and other related fields into the spotlight
and creating global opportunities.
SSENTONGO MANSOOR
DEPUTY DIRECTOR
Ssentongo Mansoor is an IT Expert with over 6 years of experience in Information Technology. He is a Google Cloud Certified
Associate Cloud Engineer, a Google Certified IT Support Specialist, attained over 250 digital certificates and over 200 Digital
Badges in IT related courses. He is a Graduate of Construction Management from Makerere University (2021).
He was the Projects Coordinator for the Makerere Association of Construction Management Students.
Ssentongo Mansoor has developed numerous Mobile, Web and Desktop Applications and has been part of teams developing software
for the Government, Organizations, institutions and Companies. He also has skills in Engineering Software that include AutoCAD,
Revit, 3DSMax, SketchUp Pro, Lumion, MS Project, Primavera, among others and he is an instructor for the above software.
Ssentongo Mansoor is passionate about technology and teaching others about technology. He spends most of hos time contributing to
open source software projects and mentoring new programmers in different Tech Communities. During the global pandemic, he coordinated
and acted as an instructor for the first Bootcamps that were hosted by the Organization in its primary stages of development and these
involved training of the teenagers about the use of Microsoft Office programs ( i.e MS Excel, MS PowerPoint & MS Access), Website Development
skills, Version Control and the Internet at Large.
KYAMUWENDO RUTH
TREASURER
Ruth Kyamuwendo is the Treasurer of Visionary Minds Empowerment and Development Initiative (VMEDI) Construction Manager
and works with TS Consultants. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Makerere University in 2021,
Certificate in Bullying in Schools from Queensland University of Technology and Mental Health Courses Certificates from University of Reading in 2020.
Ruth believes that her experience in construction has a nice compensation, rewarding, exciting and educates her with broad skills that put her not only
in an office environment but also out in other fields.Formerly the Finance Secretary at Makerere University Association for Construction Management students,
she has a strong leadership experience in addition with her ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Ruth fell in love with Non – profits when she was a teenager. She was inspired by the Hope Club at her highschool and developed a deep passion for charitable
works. Over 11 years later, Ruth provides support and spends her days doing good will works. She is passionate and driven by a desire to serve others and
contribute to society. Loyalty, commitment, friendship and faithfulness stimulate her to fill the value gap towards change in the organisation.
NAMIREMBE PATRICIA
GENERAL SECRETARY
Patricia Namirembe is the General Secretary of Visionary Minds Empowerment and Development Initiative (VMEDI) and works with Turner
and Townsend Uganda. She is a Graduate of BSc. Construction Management from Makerere University (2021). Patricia is passionate about
the arts, public speech, music, and leadership. Patricia is pragmatic and driven as seen in the various leadership roles under which
she has served over the years. As President of the Makerere Association for Construction Management Students (MAC), she worked towards
eliminating the bias towards women in leadership in STEM fields.
Patricia started volunteering with Scripture Union Uganda as the Chairperson of her cohort from 2016 to 2018. She later joined the Gavel
Club of Makerere, a public speech club under Toastmasters International which aimed at equipping young people with confidence, among other
public speaking skills. She has participated in various CSR activities over the years which involved paying visits to primary schools
(Ntinda School of The Deaf, Makerere Hill Primary School) to donate stationery and provide information on Reproductive Sexual Health.
Patricia is extremely passionate about girls and women, and always strives to involve more women in all activities and spaces. She is an
avid reader of African Literature on feminism and African History.
